Tom Kerchner

Tom is a Merger and Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI) and Certified Business Intermediary(CBI). He has over 30 years of experience in management leadership, manufacturing, distribution and financial management. Tom has worked on business sales and acquisitions for all of his career.

Tom started with bank mergers in the early 1980’s however most of his career was spent in manufacturing and distribution where he worked on a number of acquisitions from negotiations thru integration. Thru organic growth and acquisitions his team grew a metals and plastics business from $60 million to $220 million in a period of seven years.

In the battery business, he was responsible for integrating certain operations of five acquired European companies spread over seven countries. He also assisted in the planning and implementation of the merger of two companies with $3 billion of revenue. As a hands on integrator of companies, Tom has seen the advantages and pitfalls of acquisition strategies.

Tom has worked on numerous national and international acquisitions, mergers and divestitures ranging in size up to $1 billion. Tom has purchased, owned and sold small businesses and turned around a business which had been in a thirty year decline. Through this and other business ventures, Tom learned an appreciation for the challenges and rewards of private business ownership.  He works on quality businesses of between approximately $3 million and $150 million in revenue.

Tom is a board member and past President of the Pennsylvania Business Brokers Association and he holds professional certifications with the M&A Source and the International Business Brokers Association. He earned his Master of Business Administration at Villanova University and has a degree in Finance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Kerchner holds the Series 79 (Investment Banking Representative) and the Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law) registrations as a representative of StillPoint Capital.
